Wow Me Wednesday WHAT?
Whoops it is Thursday again. I hardly recognized because my sinuses and allergies are raging. Seriously. I haven’t felt this bad in a couple years. I only know this because I have the vague memory of looking at an Alavert box thinking, “I don’t care if I OD on sinus- Allergy medicine. SOMETHING has to work.” I lived obviously. Anyway. I haven’t done much. I hate to post this but oh well. Gotta keep it honest. Here:
I cannot account for how I lost anything except snot. Seriously. I should take stock in kleenex and tp. Plus, I haven’t been getting good sleep and it is proven that people with healthy sleep lose more. I have been taking the late shift with the baby 
Anyway. Thought I would post this before passing out again! Hopefully I kick this soon.

Whoops! Wow me Wednesday Was Yesterday…
Hello there! I’ve missed you!
I have been incredibly busy this week. The Hubster and I are now on our way to being homeowners!!!! Happy Dance! So, as you can imagine this is taking up MOST of our time with research, research, research. I think we have figured out what kind of loan we want to get. We know the round about that we can spend and also what we’d prefer to spend. We have about a month to iron out some details so by next month we will be ready to make a contract if/when we find the right home. We also have been looking into what we could live with square footage wise, amount of rooms, and things we’d have to fix. Thankfully, we aren’t too picky. We have crammed 5 of us in a 800 Sq Ft apartment and we are both quite handy, so hopefully it will be an enjoyable experience. With that said, I AM FREAKING OUT! It’s a bit unbelievable and freaking scary!
Onto the other big thing that has been just as scary and keeping me just as busy. I have started my path back to being physically fit. Read more

Halfway through the week with on ‘holiday’ down and one more (in the USA) to come! Welcome to Wednesday! Today, I am sharing with you my first guest post! This post is the result of a challenge Chris from Justme365 made in the comments of my post, Mohawks, Fauxhawks, and Other Mayhem. His challenge was to write a 500 word short story inspired by Chopin’s Prelude in E Minor. I created Beauty in the Beast to fulfill my half of the challenge. Date With An Angel
He sat across from her, his hands fidgeting. He had children as old as her. Yet, here he was. A third date. He was as wound up as a teenager going for his first kiss. Probably because that was his goal this evening.
She looked like an angel. Her pale skin poured into a well fitted black dress. Simple makeup accentuated the dark pools called eyes and classic pearls clung to her ears. Her chestnut hair was loose and free. Conversation flowed easily, smiles came easier, and time flew too quickly. The merest brush of skin on skin set his soul free. His rightful kiss had been stymied by a sudden downpour and an emergency call during his last attempts. This time he was determined to get one. Read more

A Household Freshener by Any Other Name Smell as Sweet?
I favor my sense of smell. It honestly doesn’t get the credit it deserves. The scent of a person can make or break sexiness easily. The scent of a bathroom can make you risk peeing your pants just to find somewhere “better.” Walking into a home to the smell of fresh cookies or a roast that has baked all day will instantly make your mouth water and your stomach rumble. So, you can only imagine why the business of smelly goodness is booming.
There are perfumes, cologne, aerosol sprays. There are plug-ins, battery operated, time released spray machines, candles. There is incense, oils, and waxes… And, like most people, I have tried ALL of them. Read more

The Art of Sending Cards
Christmas is a time notorious for the sending out cards. It is the simplest, cheapest, and oldest tradition to get everyone you know SOMETHING for the holiday season. A small sentiment to let them all know that you know they exist and hopefully care. Sending cards is a dying art form since social networking and smart phones have taken over the world. That message to Mantua would have reached Romeo somehow between voice-mail, text message, twitter, Facebook, blogger, and other facets of technology. ( Hm I might be on to something there…Any of my fiction writers wanna try this one out with me?) Despite the easy accessibility to others via technology, there is a magic to the art of sending cards. Here is what I discovered a few years ago.

Wow Me WEAK Wednesday
I spent most of my young childhood with my Mimi and Papa at their home. Needless to say many of the foundations of life and philosophies in growth formed under their roof. One of the most daunting and memorable moments of my childhood wasn’t in the memory itself but one sentence said outside of instruction. Mimi taught me how to make a bed, hospital corners and all. I asked her why it was so important to have even, perfect hospital corners on a sheet you never see.

Welcome to Wednesday! As one of my friends posted on Facebook, “be kind and hump to it and quickly get over it.” (thanks for the laugh Dava.) Wow Me WOWEEE Wednesday
Yup. It’s Wednesday!
Jakin has come leaps and bounds this year. (With children I for some reason think of years in terms of school years so bear with.) He finished his physical therapy and did a new evaluation. His evaluation proved that what was considerably low and uncontrolled he now has control of and the ability to do things kids his own age can’t! What a feat for six months time! (And, Yay for one less therapy!) In talking with his Occupational therapist I found she had a social group he could join. Deliriously happy I pulled him from his individual and group therapist that we were having issues with and stuck him in this new social group. This group was in a more professional setting, with appointments that would not be cancelled last-minute, and with more professional resources for children like Jakin! Jakin just wants new friends!
